Sayuw Explains How He Ended Up in 9Pandas
Newcomer to 9Pandas, Oleg "sayuw" Kalenbet, shared the story of how he joined the Dota 2 roster. The support player reached out to the team's manager, after which Alexey "Solo" Berezin contacted him.
"I first messaged Aldar Jamba, simply asking if 9Pandas were looking for a position four player. I knew the team needed a player for this role. Within 5 or 10 minutes, I received a message from Lyoha Solo. We had a call and talked things over." - Oleg "sayuw" Kalenbet
"My expectations for the team are the highest. I hope we can first make it through the open qualifiers for Riyadh Masters, and then through the closed ones, securing a spot in the tournament. Then, our goal will be to qualify for TI13." - Oleg "sayuw" Kalenbet.
On May 1, 2024, Sayuw became a player for 9Pandas, replacing Vladislav "Antares" Kertman, who moved on to Virtus.pro.
9Pandas had a rough start to the season, only managing to qualify for the FISSURE & ESB Elite League 2024. They finished last in the tournament, failing to win a single series and earning $10,000. The team's next event will be the qualifiers for Riyadh Masters 2024, taking place online from May 29 to June 4.
