Sayuw super happy about the new patch

Players from 9Pandas, Oleg 'sayuw' Kalenbet and Albert 'Alberkaaa' Chernoivanov, shared their thoughts on the Dota 2 patch 7.37 in a post on their team’s Telegram channel.

Sayuw commented that heroes previously forgotten are making a comeback, noting that Kunkka and Medusa now seem interesting, and that Death Prophet is likely to see more play. He observed that Ember Spirit has received buffs and will be picked more often, while the removal of inherent abilities means the end of the line for Weaver. He also mentioned the return of his favourite, Ironwood Tree, though he was disappointed that Iron Talon was not returned to the first tier, as it would have been useful for jungle farming from the 7th minute. He noted that Vambrace has risen in popularity. He described the patch as a breath of fresh air, but not a deep one—just a small sip.

Alberkaaa noted that the meta is still in flux, with players experimenting and testing new things. However, he pointed out that auras remain as strong and overpowered as ever. For offlane heroes, he highlighted Kunkka, Lycan, and Visage as notable mentions.

Patch 7.37 was released on the night of August 1, with developers overhauling exhaustion mechanics, ability blocking, and making various balance adjustments.
