Shopify Rebellion Finalizes Roster Ahead of DreamLeague Season 23

Shopify Rebellion has solidified its official roster just in time for DreamLeague Season 23. While they utilized stand-ins for PGL Wallachia, the team is gearing up to compete with their finalized lineup once the DreamLeague season commences.

The team faced a disappointing 11-12th place finish at ESL One Birmingham, prompting them to make changes shortly afterwards. Thiago "Thiolicor" Cordeiro bid farewell to the team, and during PGL Wallachia Season 1, Shopify Rebellion enlisted two stand-ins from Nigma Galaxy.

As the group stage unfolds, Shopify Rebellion is holding on for a playoff spot. Regardless of the results, the organization has confirmed its participation in DreamLeague Season 23 with its full roster, including its new position 5.

Andrei "skem" Ong, a Filipino player who most recently competed with Geek Fam in SEA, joins the team. This marks his third stint with an NA team, having previously played for Cloud9 and compLexity Gaming. Fans may recall his ban from participation in the Chongqing Major in 2018 due to a racial slur made in chat before an official match against RNG in DreamLeague Season 10 Minor.

Although this incident occurred six years ago, the internet's memory persists (apologies).

DreamLeague Season 23 is slated to commence on Monday, May 20th. It represents the final season in the ESL Pro Tour before the Riyadh Masters, scheduled for July.

Shopify Rebellion Roster:

- Artour “Arteezy” Babaev;

- Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer;

- Jonáš “SabeRLighT-” Volek;

- Kartik “Kitrak” Rathi;

- Rolen Andre Gabriel “Skem” Ong.
