Ayrat "Silent" Gaziev and Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidyonov reflected on Team Spirit's performance at Riyadh Masters 2024 in Dota 2. They believe the team showed unsatisfactory results due to a poor understanding of the meta.
"I think I messed up with the drafts. I didn't feel a good understanding of the meta. That's what let us down. Maybe we played badly somewhere, but the main reason for the defeat was a poorly understood meta," said Ayrat "Silent" Gaziev.
"We had a problem that everyone played a little faster than us. Everyone out-tempoed us. We tried to keep up, but it only made things worse. Then we adapted, but the drafts were bad. It was impossible to win," added Gaziev.
"I felt that we lacked confident ideas, strategies, and heroes. Maybe we didn't fully adapt somewhere," expressed Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidyonov.
"We will prepare for the next tournaments. Find something comfortable. We lost, it happens. We won't stop. Everything as usual," said Naidyonov.
At the Riyadh Masters 2024, Naidyonov's team finished in 7th-8th place. In the lower bracket, they lost to PSG Quest 1-2. For their performance, the team from Eastern Europe earned $200,000.
