Commentator, streamer, and former professional player Troels Lyngholt "syndereN" Nielsen shared his thoughts on The International 2024 in a new episode of the "We Say Things" podcast.
He expressed that, for him, The International remains the most prestigious tournament of the year, largely due to the history of the competition and the production quality with which it is conducted. He emphasised that the production of TI is truly distinct from any other tournament.
Nielsen also stated that, for him, it is still the tournament of the year and should rightfully be considered the world championship. He believes that Valve wants to preserve the tradition of hosting The International, even though they might gradually invest fewer resources into it. He feels that the existence of this event is very important for Valve.
