The Eastern European esports club Team Empire may return to Dota 2, as reported by commentator Vladimir 'Maelstorm' Kuzminov on Telegram.

"This season, Team Empire will return to Dota. At one time, the organisation dominated the professional scene and was close to challenging NaVi, but it didn’t happen. Many players started their careers here, including Ramzes, Korb3n, Miposhka, and others. ‘This is the way. Our journey is not over!’ – representatives of Team Empire wrote yesterday in celebration of the club's 20th anniversary."
The last roster of Team Empire was disbanded in August 2022, consisting of xannii, squad1x, Shachlo, jAM3S, and 633.
"We dissolved our Dota 2 roster due to extremely unsatisfactory results. The team finished last in the second division of the DPC and failed to perform well in any online tournaments. While many players were strong individually, they could not demonstrate the team synergy and collaboration needed for victory. We wish the former players good luck. But this is not the end of the story. Team Empire is not leaving the popular Valve discipline; we already have concrete plans that we will share on social media later. Please stay tuned!"
Former roster of Team Empire:
- Arslan 'Retrograde' Shadjanov
- Ilya 'squad1x' Kuvaldin
- Maxim 'Shachlo' Abramovskikh
- Jama 'jAM3S' Abdurashitov
- Stanislav '633' Glushan
