Team Falcons win Esports World Cup 2024 ahead of schedule, earning $7 million
The esports organisation Team Falcons has been crowned champion of the club championship, which is part of the Esports World Cup 2024, ahead of schedule.
MENA Team Falcons is currently in first place in the club rankings for the Esports World Cup 2024. The organisation’s teams achieved victories in Call of Duty: Warzone and Free Fire, secured second place in Apex Legends and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and third place in the Riyadh Masters 2024 for Dota 2. Additionally, they reached the top 4 in both Overwatch 2 events and the women's championship for MLBB. Overall, the club has accumulated 4,220 points, with its nearest competitor, Team Liquid from Sweden, trailing with 2,145 points.
For winning the club championship, MENA Team Falcons will receive $7,000,000 in addition to the prize money earned by their teams in the individual tournaments of the Esports World Cup 2024.
The Esports World Cup 2024 runs from 28 June to 25 August in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Esports clubs from around the world are competing in 22 disciplines, with a total prize pool of $60 million.
