The grand final was watched by over 1.4 million people at its peak

The grand final of The International 2024 in Dota 2 set a record for peak viewership at the tournament. Over 1.405 million people simultaneously watched the match between Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators, according to Esports Charts.

Previously, the peak viewership record for TI13 was set during the lower bracket final, where Gladiators defeated Tundra Esports, reaching 1.39 million viewers. However, this year’s championship did not surpass the peak viewership numbers of any International event since 2019. For instance, the 2023 tournament attracted over 1.442 million peak viewers.

The International 2024 took place from 4 to 15 September in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a prize pool of $2.5 million.
