The International 2024 will take place without Legendary tags

LGD Gaming

- Appearances at The International: 11

- Best Result: Second place

LGD Gaming holds the record for the most appearances at The International, participating in all tournaments from 2012 to 2024. Despite making it to the top three six times, they have never won the Aegis. LGD has consistently been a top contender, but in recent years, with the decline of the Chinese region, they have struggled. The team faced significant financial issues this year, leading to the loss of key players and a failed qualification for The International 2024.

Evil Geniuses

- Appearances at The International: 10

- Best Result: Win in 2015

Evil Geniuses is second in terms of appearances, having competed in ten Internationals since 2014. They won the Aegis in 2015 with a roster featuring SumaiL and ppd. However, recent years have been less successful, with the team failing to perform at TI12 and subsequently disbanding. This will be the first TI in ten years without EG.

Fnatic

- Appearances at The International: 9

- Best Result: Top 4

Fnatic participated in nine consecutive Internationals from 2013 to 2022. Although they were rarely a top contender, their 2016 performance, where they reached the top 4, was notable. Following a disappointing TI2022 and subsequent roster changes, Fnatic decided to withdraw from Dota 2, ending their streak.

Virtus.pro

- Appearances at The International: 7

- Best Result: Top 5

Virtus.pro has appeared at seven Internationals, missing only two in recent years. Known for unpredictable performances, they either exceed expectations or fall short. This season, despite being a regional favourite, VP failed to qualify for TI2024, marking their absence from the tournament.

Team Secret

- Appearances at The International: 7

- Best Result: Second place

Team Secret, formed after TI4, became a regular at The International, making seven appearances. They were known for their strong rosters and dramatic performances, peaking with a second-place finish. However, after an impressive run from 2016 to 2022, their recent lack of top-tier talent has led to their absence from TI2024.
