Valve has fixed a bug with Hand of Midas
Valve has addressed a bug in Dota 2 related to the abuse of the Hand of Midas item. The issue first appeared in the game on the night of 26 August. Although developers attempted to fix it, they only resolved one of the methods of exploitation, leaving the underlying problem still present in the MOBA.
The critical bug with Hand of Midas allowed players to farm gold rapidly by resetting the item's cooldown. The bug affected all characters and involved removing the artifact from the inventory, purchasing a copy from the shop, and immediately selling it.
Many players and even professional esports athletes, including offlaner Ammar 'ATF' Assaf from Team Falcons, took advantage of this bug. This information was revealed through the history of his games on the Dota2ProTracker website.
