When Does Dota 2’s Crownfall Act 3 Release?

Dota 2’s ongoing event, Crownfall, is progressing steadily, and although it's already the last week of June 2024, there's still no sign of Crownfall Act 3. So, what’s the delay?

Valve initially set the release timeline for Crownfall Act 3 for late June 2024. Based on this, we can anticipate that Act 3 will be released this week or, at the latest, by next week. Let's delve into when exactly Dota 2’s Crownfall Act 3 might be released.

When Is Crownfall Act 3 Release Date?

As mentioned, the scheduled release date for Act 3 was late June. However, this timeframe is somewhat vague and lengthy, especially for Dota 2 players who have already completed Acts 1 and 2. With the elusive Firebug Thorax quest and Candle Token quest conquered players are eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Fortunately, it's highly likely that Crownfall Act 3 will be released within the next couple of days from the time of this article’s publishing (June 26). The Dota 2 development team often releases major updates on Thursdays, Seattle time, humorously referred to as “Valve time” by Dota 2 fans. Therefore, we can hope the wait is just two more days.

Tuesdays are also a common release window, typically late in the evening PT time. This would mean Crownfall Act 3 could be released on July 2. Alternatively, we might have to wait another full week until July 4.

What To Expect In Crownfall Act 3?

Ringmaster’s Release?

Firstly, the new Dota 2 hero, Ringmaster, might finally debut after an extended wait. For those unfamiliar, fans have been anticipating the new hero’s arrival since October last year. While Ringmaster's entry into the Dota 2 meta is highly anticipated, there’s a good chance the hero might debut during The International 2024 (TI13) instead, given TI13’s circus-themed aesthetics, which align with Ringmaster's design.

Crownfall Collector’s Cache?

There’s also the possibility of the Crownfall Collector’s Cache being released. After thousands of community votes on their favorite workshop sets, the Collector’s Cache might be ready. Given the high number of sets up for vote, we could even see two releases of the Collector’s Cache.

Free Crownfall Act 3 Quests, Treasures, And Rewards!

Finally, Act 3 will bring more quests and rewards to unlock. This includes the Crownfall Treasure IV. Unlike the Collector’s Cache, the Crownfall Treasure series does not feature shiny particles or ambient effects. However, they are free, and the set designs are impressive.

There is much to look forward to with the release of Crownfall Act 3. This period traditionally sees a surge of interest in Battle Passes, but with the Crownfall 2024 event as an alternative, it raises the question whether fans prefer the fun mini-games of Crownfall over the usual Battle Pass content.
