Support player Matthew 'Whitemon' Filimon from Tundra Esports shared his thoughts in an interview during The International 2024. He discussed the victory over HEROIC, commented on the opponent’s choice of Slark in the off-lane, and talked about his playstyle as a support.
Playing against South American teams is always exciting because they play at a very fast pace. We have significant experience facing Slark in the off-lane. When the Falcons used him against us, I always recommended picking Jakiro. Although the lane can be challenging, Jakiro is generally a good choice.
We were confident that we could make a comeback. We waited for their mistakes, which eventually came. They overextended and underestimated our ultimates. I think my style suits playing from behind, but it ultimately depends on my team. I will adapt to whatever my teammates prefer.
Earlier, Matthew 'Whitemon' Filimon from Indonesia discussed the differences between regions in professional Dota, shared his thoughts on the Ringmaster, and offered advice for supports on climbing the MMR ladder.
