Kamal Koma' Biktimirov, a Russian esports player and streamer for Team Spirit, discussed the impact of high ping and low FPS on performance in Dota 2 during a personal Twitch stream.
He expressed that unlike in Counter-Strike, where ping and FPS are critical, in Dota 2, these factors are less influential. He noted that a player can comfortably reach the top 10 while playing at 60 FPS with a ping of 120. In contrast, in shooters, high ping can prevent a player from seeing an opponent before being eliminated, leading to frustration. He emphasised that the impact of these factors is far more significant in first-person shooters.
Earlier in the stream, he also commented on Gleb kiyotaka Zyryanov.
When asked about a depressed kid in Aurora and whether he deserves more recognition, Biktimirov mentioned that he was aware of Gleb's contract with Aurora, but was uncertain if he would be playing or sitting on the bench. He explained that many players are hesitant to team up with him due to his somewhat unprofessional attitude towards training. However, he acknowledged that if Gleb works with teammates he trusts, he will put in the effort. He concluded by describing Gleb as a talented player who tends to be lazy.
