Y0nd on Southeast Asia: "They ask for astronomical amounts of money"

He noted that players from various regions are migrating because Southeast Asia servers are plagued by an MMR mafia. According to Vazhnov, this mafia uses software to snipe professional players and transfers MMR between accounts in a manner not seen in other regions. They are said to demand exorbitant sums to allow players to participate in Dota 2. With high ping and few players on the server, games can take a long time to find, leading many to switch to more popular servers, such as those in North America, South America, and Europe. Russia may also be an option due to similar ping levels.
