Y0nd told how much money pro-Dota 2 players earn
Streamer and professional player Gleb "y0nd" Vazhnov shared insights during a personal Twitch stream regarding the salaries of professional Dota 2 players. He stated that a tier-1 player would not earn around $3,000 a month; instead, it would be closer to $10,000. He highlighted the demand for players like Nisha, noting that everyone wants to recruit him, which likely brings his monthly salary to about $10,000 or even more. He explained that this figure can vary based on factors like advertising contracts and sponsorship conditions. For instance, if a player has a sponsor willing to pay for integrations on their YouTube channel, that would be compensated separately if agreed upon.
In contrast, he pointed out that tier-3 teams might pay around $1,000 a month, which translates to roughly 100,000 roubles. For tier-2 teams, salaries could range from $1,500 to $3,000, depending on the team and its sponsors.
Earlier during his stream, Vazhnov also commented on Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov, asserting that he did not agree with the notion that kiyotaka's skill level had significantly declined. He mentioned that kiyotaka would have thrived in OG during their aggressive playstyle years in 2017, 2018, and 2019, as he brings a similar approach to Dota. Vazhnov noted that kiyotaka often engages in arcade plays, recognising the strengths of heroes in the moment, comparing him to Topson in execution.
