Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov, the offlaner for Team Spirit, discussed how his team manages to stage comebacks in challenging official matches. His comments were featured on Escorenews.com from The International 2024 broadcast.

He noted that the team’s playstyle is less reliant on auras due to recent nerfs in the last two patches, which made the aura meta quite dull. Previously, winning required buying three aura items per game, but now it’s possible to get by with just one aura item, allowing for a more varied item build.

Lately, he no longer selects his hero independently. Instead, the team chooses the hero and consults him to confirm if it’s a good choice. Sometimes he suggests his signature hero based on the opponents’ picks, and the team either agrees or declines.

Regarding comebacks, he explained that the team actively looks for opportunities to turn the game around and discusses strategies to do so. They focus on timing for key items, tracking other timings, and random elements like double damage runes, continually evaluating ways to get back into the game.
